STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is one of the strands in the Academic Track that Senior High Schools has to offer. STEM is important because it is actually involved in every part of our lives.
Science is everywhere in the world around us. From the air you breathe to the ground you're standing at, Science is always a part of that.
Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Living a life without it seems impossible nowadays since even the fire we need to cook our food and light our candles is considered as Technology.
Engineering is root of our roads, bridges, and buildings. Ever imagined living in this era without schools, hospitals, and malls? Thanks to Engineering we have places to go for studying, treatment, and entertainment.
Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. From the simple 1,2,3's to the circles, parabolas, and ellipses. Mathematics sure is a challenge but life would be no fun without the challenge.
After reading all that, you sure have imagined a lot. How about involving yourself in all those fields? It looks hard and stressful to even think about it but we assure you, the STEM strand has a lot to offer that will make your hardships definitely worth it.
